Introduction
The Heinz2-O Foundation, established in 2020 and based in the middle of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Palatinate Forest and Northern Vosges, introduces itself. It is recognized as a non-profit organization and, according to its statutes, pursues these key goals:
The purpose of the foundation is the sustainable promotion

of environmental, nature and climate protection,

of international understanding and deepening of relations between Germany and Japan, especially in the cultural, aesthetic-artistic and humanistic areas,above all of science and research in the field of renewable energies, energy efficiency, energy conversion and energy storage, especially in the field of solar energy and hydrogen technologies. The foundation aims to prepare the use of hydrogen as an energy source, to determine the scientific, economic, technical and political prerequisites for a comprehensive hydrogen energy economy and to promote the implementation of the hydrogen energy concept and to accelerate the transformation to a "hydrogen society".
The purpose of the statutes is realized in particular through the following measures:

Research and scientific support of projects in the field of climate protection and hydrogen energy concepts,

Research projects and scientific support of projects in the field of innovative technologies related to climate neutrality,

Promotion of innovative and climate-friendly technologies and projects that take aesthetic elements into account in the integration of natural resources of a biosphere reserve,
-
Support of lectures, discussion groups and communicative encounters between Germans and Japanese as well as related cultural circles.
